3 monuments that you must visit!

1. Eiffel Tower - 7th district

You can't be in Paris and not be going to discover a unique monument in the world: the Eiffel Tower! From the forecourt to the summit, you will be dazzled by the unique and breathtaking view that it offers on all Paris and its main monuments (Sacré-Coeur, Arc de Triomphe, Invalides, Grand Palais, the Alexandre III bridge, Louvre museum ...).

On the forecourt, you will find the carved bust of Gustave Eiffel (the builder of the Eiffel Tower), a souvenir shop and an information point - Accessible to all for free.

I advise you to book your tickets online to save time and avoid this endless queue present at any time of the day. You will be afraid and leave again ...

On the 1st floor, you will experience a sensational vacuum experience. Expect chills when walking on the glass floor. Take the time to watch the show projected on the walls that will immerse you in the world of the capital and stop at the discovery course to know everything about the history of the Eiffel Tower. A bit of general culture doesn't hurt!

If you like to skate and have fun, I advise you to visit the Eiffel Tower in winter since an ice rink located 57 meters above the ground will be waiting for you on the 1st floor!

Don't miss the 2nd floor with its restorations and shops. Nothing better than a relaxing break during the visit, always with this splendid view!

The last step not to be missed: the summit! Thanks to the elevators, you will enjoy the spectacular view of Paris accompanied by a glass of champagne (if you want, a champagne bar is at your disposal). The Eiffel Tower oscillates sometimes, rest assured, it is not the effect of champagne. Tip: if you feel dizzy: stay in the sheltered part of the summit and don't go outdoors... 

During the day and the evening, in summer as in winter, I guarantee you that this visit will remain an unforgettable moment! (provided you dress warmly)

If you don't have the time to visit this lovely monument, I recommend you to see it at night. Every evening, it lights up in gold and sparkles for 5 minutes at the beginning of each hour. You will not be disappointed, it will dazzle you! You will tell me if it has put you stars in your eyes ...

2. Sainte Chapelle - 1st district

Do you like visiting the Gothic monuments? So this chapel is for you! Made in record time, it houses the most precious relics of Christendom.

Located within the grounds of the courthouse, the 1113 stained-glass windows of this jewel spread over 15 canopies with a height of 15 meters will dazzle you. These stained-glass windows, with blinding colors, represent the 1113 scenes of the Old and New Testaments.

Above all, don't miss the tiny hidden staircase that takes you to the brightest place in this chapel.

As it's a rather narrow monument, I recommend you visit it in the morning so that the wait is shorter.

 3. Opéra Garnier - 9th district

The Palais Garnier is a marvel that deserves to be explored. Whether you are passionate about opera and dance or not, I assure you that from an architectural or historical point of view, everything is impressive in this opera! Only from the outside, the magic operates.

You will enter not through the main entrance but through the left facade, formerly reserved for the political and cultural elite.

What amazed me most are these marble staircases in particular by their size, their elegance, their curves and lines. When you take one of these stairs, you will notice that the steps are very low (this surprised me a little bit but do you know that at the time women couldn't show their ankles?).

Many paintings, sculptures and mosaics come to embellish this place so exceptional and mysterious.

With a little luck, you can enter the theater if no performance takes place. It's impressive with its red upholstered seats, its sloping scene, or its 8-ton chandelier!

Don't leave without having seen the big foyer, another treasure of this monument made up of paintings in particular on the ceiling with the representation of genres of the music according to the different countries.

Believe me this opera is worth the turning of it! You will be able to escape and dream the time of a visit...
