Ideas for places where you can relax!

Today, I share you my last article on Paris. I recommend you different places where it feels good to live, where you can air in your mind, relax a few moments.

1. Royal Palace Garden

This public garden is a haven of peace in the heart of the capital. It allows to relax while being protected from the crowd that reigns in the streets of Paris. In fact, very few tourists go there because it is little known. It is more frequented by locals or by people seeking calm and tranquillity. The architecture of the buildings that surround it is magnificent. Under the arcades, you will find antique shops, booksellers, decoration and even two restaurants that have pleasant terraces in the sun overlooking the garden. This beautiful garden houses a beautiful vegetation, a fountain and statues.
In the courtyard of honor of the Royal Palace, you will most certainly be intrigued by the columns of Buren. It is a contemporary work of art created by Daniel Buren in 1986. In total, there are 260 columns! They are simultaneously beautiful (white marble streaked with black) and surprising (all of different sizes). You can play with your camera, climb the columns and why not, climb on the highest for a perfect shot of the Royal Palace.
Not far from this place, I strongly advise you to cross the gallery Vivienne, it is worth the trip! It is for me the most elegant of Parisian galleries. It attracts visitors with its shops of old and original objects, its art galleries, its wine merchant, its bookseller ... I guarantee you that you will be immersed  back to past centuries!

2. Buttes Chaumont

You probably wonder WHERE to sunbathe when it's sunny in Paris? Well, I have the answer!
Located in the 19th district (Pyrenees metro station (Line 11) for example), the Buttes Chaumont park covers 25 hectares. Stroll in this place will not only relax but especially you disorient with its many cliffs, rocks and artificial lakes.
Many trees darken the park.  In summer, it is always good to stay in the shade but if you love the sun like me, don't worry I have the solution! In the center of the park, climb up the hill - grab a bottle of water as it is rather sporty ascent - and you will finally reach the sun. Don't hesitate to install your towel in the grass and enjoy your afternoon to sunbathe, take a nap in the sun, read a book ... Everyone is free to do what he wants. You can even organize a picnic with friends.
Good news: from time to time a DJ is at the top of this hill and in the daytime !! Believe me you will not regret climbing, the atmosphere is just great!

3. Guinguette La Javelle

Looking for a nice plan to go out with friends? Let's go, direction La Javelle!
Every night, it's a real little party that takes place there. This festival terrace along the Seine invites you to live collective activities, dancing aperitifs and festive evenings. From 10 p.m, you can dance on the dance floor on classics from the 80s and 90s. I assure you that with the colorful decoration, the village atmosphere, and themed evenings, you will be enchanted by this hidden place of Paris.
You don't like dancing? No worries, there is something for everyone! Many Food Trucks are installed, so you will have something to eat (pizzas, cheese board and cold cuts, meat, tajine, cocktails, craft beers ...). You can also drink, chat, admire the sunset on the Seine while being installed in a sunbed.

Little secret: enter the "sardine box", the smallest nightclub in the world ... I don't tell you more, go discover it!
You will see, this guinguette is a real place of life. It is very friendly, the atmosphere is familial, it's a bit like home!

Direction the Marais district !

In this article, I tell you about my favorite places in the Marais district in the center of Paris. If you know others, don't hesitate to comment.  1. La Place des Vosges  This place is the oldest Place Royale, the most beautiful in Paris!  Its famous red brick facades and blue slate roofs reflect the Renaissance style. I advise you to walk under the arcades, you will discover small antique shops and even an opera singer who is there almost every day of the year! Do not miss its quality performances that will soothe you. Summer or winter, you can stroll in the central public garden, lengthen you in the grass to enjoy the sun or organize a picnic with family or friends. I assure you this garden is very relaxing and the Place des Vosges gives off an incredible charm!  2. Le Voltigeur This restaurant is a marvel! (one of my favorites in Paris)   "The Voltigeur" offers dishes more appetizing than each other, certainly nothing revolutionary...

3 monuments that you must visit!

1. Eiffel Tower - 7th district You can't be in Paris and not be going to discover a unique monument in the world: the Eiffel Tower! From the forecourt to the summit, you will be dazzled by the unique and breathtaking view that it offers on all Paris and its main monuments (Sacré-Coeur, Arc de Triomphe, Invalides, Grand Palais, the Alexandre III bridge, Louvre museum ...). On the forecourt, you will find the carved bust of Gustave Eiffel (the builder of the Eiffel Tower), a souvenir shop and an information point - Accessible to all for free . I advise you to book your tickets online to save time and avoid this endless queue present at any time of the day. You will be afraid and leave again ... On the 1st floor, you will experience a sensational vacuum experience. Expect chills when walking on the glass floor. Take the time to watch the show projected on the walls that will immerse you in the world of the capital and stop at the discovery course to know everything abo...
